TOPIC: “The Power of Youth”
International Essay Contest:
The deadline for the Districts to submit their winner’s Essay to international is April 15, 2009. International Prizes: 1st place plaque, $6,000 college scholarships, 2nd place plaque, $3,750 college scholarships, 3rd place plaque, $2,250 college scholarships.
District Essay Contest:
All Club Essays winners must be submitted to the District Essay Chair no later than
February 28, 2009. Winner of the District Essay will receive a plaque and a $650 college scholarship.
Club Essay Contests:
The contest is open to students under the age of 19 as of December 31st , 2008-2009. school year. No minimum age or grade level.
Contact your local club Essay Chair or Lieutenant Governor to get the date and location of your club Essay Contest. Clubs prizes: Medallions.
Essay Contest Entry:
1. Clubs must submit a $30 check payable to “Pacific Central District-OI.”
2. The winner’s application, copy of Birth Certificate, a copy of Essay.
3. A completed District Essay Contest Entry Form.
4. “Incomplete packets will be returned to sender”
5. “Complete” packets must be mailed to:
